Description: Guide-Line is a confidential telephone help line offering support and information to those experiencing mental distress, their carers and family. We offer support on a day-to-day basis to those with depression and anxiety or who have a serious mental health condition. We are there for those in crisis who might be self harming or suicidal. We give details of appropriate resources and help local or national. Most evenings (not Mon) we have an Urdu speaker available to answer calls. We have a text phone (minicom) for those with hearing problems.

Description: Gingerale adult learning offers a variety of courses and educational guidance. This is free to parents on benefits. A creche is available. The housing project offers temporary accommodation for lone parents, and help securing permanent accommodation. The community nanny project offers a flexible childcare service, provided by nursery nurses. Gingerlinks offers support groups and social networks for lone parents. Gingerbread also offers a drop-in café and clothing store, where drinks and snacks are inexpensive and second-hand clothing is charged for at small prices.

Description: Health Trainers support, encourage and motivate people to make changes to improve their health. They work with people on a one-to-one basis to make and maintain health changes. Whatever change you want to make a Health trainer may be just the person to help get you started – you may want to lose weight, make friends, stop smoking, become more active. You decide and the Health Trainer will help you achieve your goals. Health trainers run sessions by appointment in many different venues in the Bradford & Airedale District. Description: The information shop for young people in Bradford city centre is exclusive to young people aged up to 25 and offers friendly and helpful information, advice and services on: employment; sports & leisure; travel; training; education; housing; health; and much more.

* Cashpoint (contraception, sexual health) Monday and Wednesday 3.30-5.30pm . Saturdays 10am-12noon. Free pregnancy testing, contraception and emergency contraception.

* Lads' Room - young males' health drop-in, every Tue and Thurs 2.30pm-5.00pm . Information on any aspect of health and relationships. Free condoms available.

* Friends Plus. Advice on and testing for sexually transmitted infections. Males: Tue 2.00-3.45pm and Thurs 1.30-4.15pm . Females: Mon 1.30-4.00pm .

Free 30 minute use of the internet for information searches.
